- 8 p.m. An Easter sunrise ser
vice will be held on Sunday,
April 4, at 7 a.m. with a full
breakfast to follow in the fel
lowship hall. Sunday school
will be canceled between ser
vices. An Easter service will
follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev.
Steve Pierce speaking. The

April 4, at 7:30 a.m. Everyone
is asked to meet in the parking
lot of Commerce Presbyterian
at 7:30 a.m. and bring a lawn
chair. Breakfast will follow
the service in the fellowship
hall; Sunday school is at 10
a.m.; and church members will
meet at 11 a.m. for worship
and communion. The church is

Explosion Nite” on Wednesday,

Dry Pond United Methodist
Church will hold an Easter
extravaganza on Saturday,
April 3. Chicken plates will
be available for $7 from 11
a.m. - 2 p.m. Plates include:
fresh grilled chicken, Ms. Pat's
slaw, southern style baked
beans and more. Plates will
be sold in advance. Also from
11 a.m. - 2 p.m. there will be
a church bake sale. Festivities
begin at 11 a.m. with an egg
hunt for ages six and younger
and a 1 p.m. egg hunt for ages
seven through 12 with col
ored, stuffed and prize eggs.
Prizes include candy, stuffed
animals, Easter gifts and live
chicks. At 12:30 p.m. there
will be a step performance by
the Commerce Boys and Girls
Club. There will be an inflat
able moonwalk and photos
with the Easter bunny. Anyone
may dress in Easter attire for
an additional prize. Admission
is free. The church is located
at the corner of Dry Pond
Road and Plainview Road. For

will sponsor a fish fry on
Saturday, April 3, at the main
entrance of Quality Foods
Market in Commerce from 9
a.m. - 2 p.m. In addition to
fish sandwiches, there will be
hot dogs, homemade baked
goods and soft drinks avail
able for sale. The fundraiser
will benefit the mortgage fund.

St. Catherine Laboure

from Paraguay for its annual
