Vases taken from cemetery
TWENTY-FIVE bronze
vases were stolen from head
stones at a cemetery on
Jefferson Road last week,
according to a report fded at
the Jackson County Sheriff’s
Office.
Other incidents reported to
the sheriff’s office last week
include the following:
•shoplifting at Dollar
General on Hwy. 441 in
Nicholson. Two women stole
four shirts from the clearance
rack in front of the store.
•property damage at a River
Chase, Hoschton, residence
when someone spun tires in
the front yard and damaged
the front lawn.
•trespassing at a Hwy. 441,
Athens, business when some
one who was asked to leave
refused to do so.
•a Deerbrook Drive,
Nicholson, woman said that
her ex-husband has been mak
ing harassing phone calls to
her while she is at work and
at home.

Commerce, woman said some
one stole two checks from her
mother.
•domestic dispute between

granddaughter, who she has
custody of, would not return
home.
•a man said he was driv
ing on the bypass when a
rock from a truck damaged
his vehicle.
•a woman said her husband,
who she is divorcing, made
threatening phone calls to
her.
•a woman said she and her
brother got into an alterca
tion.
•vehicle fire at a Tugalo
Drive address.
•loud noise complaint from
a Sycamore Street resident.

TOWN HALL MEETING

District 3 Commissioner Bruce Yates will be
holding a Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, May 11,
2010 at 7:00 p.m in the Braselton Police and
Municipal Court Building, located at 5040 Hwy. 53,
Braselton, GA 30517.
Mr. Yates is seeking discussion on property
assessments, SPLOST, informational updates on
the new Hoschton Park, the Zion Church road
project, the Jackson County Comprehensive Plan,
and other issues of concern to citizens.
The public is invited to attend.

Fatality reported in wreck
A MAN was found dead
at the scene of a wreck on
Sunday at Mountain Creek
Drive in Talmo.
Units from the North
Jackson Fire/Rescue, Jefferson
Rescue and Jackson County
EMS responded to a reported
auto accident with injuries.
Upon arrival, they found a
one-vehicle accident which
had overturned, with a male
patient trapped under the vehi
cle. The patient was extricated
and pronounced dead at the
scene.
No other injuries were
reported.
In another wreck, on April
24, units from Harrisburg
Fire/Rescue, Jefferson Rescue
and Jackson County EMS
responded to 217 Airport
Road, Jefferson, on a reported
auto accident with injuries.
Upon arrival, they found a
one-vehicle accident with a
male patient entrapped in the
vehicle.
The patient was extricated
and transported by EMS to
Northeast Georgia Medical
Center in Gainesville. The
patient was listed in critical
condition. No other injuries
were reported.
