Eagles close season with losses
WITH THE team in the midst
of a six game drought, the East
Jackson Eagles were hoping to
end their season on a high note
last Friday, as they played host
to the Union County Panthers in
a doubleheader.
It looked like the Eagles
might be able to turn their luck
around in game one, as they
stayed close in the back-and-
forth battle. But in the end, the
Panthers came away with the
upper hand, winning 10-8.
Hoping to have momentum on
their side. East Jackson entered
game two with high hopes.
But Union County had other
ideas, as they held the Eagles
scoreless while racking up 11
runs to win 11-0 in five innings.
The Eagles ended their sea
son 4-16 in the region and 6-20
overall.
