County School System.
Holtzclaw is completing
his seventh year at Jackson
County Comprehensive High
School and is the Career,
Technical and Agriculture
Education (CTAE) depart

ing her seventh year with
the Jackson County School

Stars have offered. The ‘real
life, real time' has made the
learning practical.”
Data shows that up to 60
percent of current school
leaders will reach eligibil
ity for retirement in the next
three to five years. This
wave of retirements, along
with higher expectations and
implementing changes to
leadership certification, are
contributing to major chal
lenges in school leader qual
ity and supply.
Research also shows
leadership is a crucial part
of school improvement,
accounting for up to 25
percent of student achieve
ment.
