May 20, trip to The Atlanta
Botanical Gardens. The gar
dens offer 30 acres of display
gardens and shady woodlands
featuring plant collections
including roses, herbs, coni
fers, carnivorous plants, and

The Little Country
Church, Commerce, is hold
ing its annual spring revival
through Friday, May 21, at 7
p.m. nightly. Swayne Cochran

Edge Bluegrass Gospel;”
Thursday, “The Browns;”
and Friday, “The Homeland

Beau-champ Gospel Hall,
Nicholson, will present the
“Rivers Edge Singers” on

The Community Baptist
Church sportsman ministry
will sponsor a bass tourna
ment on Saturday, May 22,
from dawn to 2 p.m. at the
Richard B. Russell State
Park in Elberton. Food will
be provided during weigh-in
and there will be a speaker.
There will be a five live fish
limit. The entry fee is $60
per boat, includes big fish
and only two people per boat.
Pay out will be one place for
every ten boats entered. Entry
forms must be completed and
turned in with payment no
later than 6 a.m. May 22.

Holly Springs United
Methodist Relay for Life
team will host a yard sale
on Saturday, May 22, from 9
a.m. - 3 p.m. All proceeds will
go to the American Cancer
Society Relay for Life. The
community is invited to par
ticipate. In case of rain, the
yard sale will be held in
the church fellowship hall.
Items for sale will include
kitchen, office, home decor,
Christmas and miscellaneous,
but no clothing. The church is

a yard sale on Saturday, May

Mitchell Singers” from the
Red Stone area and “Kneel at

will hold a benefit singing
and cake auction for Lynn
Smith on Saturday, May 22,
at 6 p.m. “The Browns,”
“The Renshaw Family,” Mike
Brown, Joy Hardy and youth
group “Jamin Juice” will
perform. Admission will be
free, but there will be a love
offering. All proceeds will
go towards Smith’s medical
expenses for a lung transplant.

prayer breakfast in the

monthly j oint prayer breakfast

Church, First Baptist Church
and Presbyterian Church in
Commerce. All men of the
community, whether affili

A Call To Salvation
Church and Father Speaks
Ministries will hold a semi
nar Friday through Sunday,
May 21 - 23 at the church in
Jefferson. Times are as fol
lows: Friday night 7 p.m.,
Saturday morning 10:30 a.m.,
followed by a light lunch, and
at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 10:30
a.m. and 6 p.m. The seminar
is called “Encountering the
Father” and will focus on
knowing God as a Father.
Vince and Rose Mercardante
will be teaching the seminar.
Vince and Rose have traveled
to 12 countries in the last five
years teaching on the Fathers
heart and His love, including
15 times to Korea in the last
