McConnell Carlan Perry, 76,
died Wednesday, May 19,
2010 at Winder Healthcare
and Rehab.
Born in Madison County,
she was the daughter of the
late Luther and Etta Jane Hill
McConnell. She was a floral
designer and of the Methodist
denomination. Mrs. Perry was
preceded in death by her hus
band, Dick Perry; and brother,
Ernest McConnell.
Survivors include her sons,
Steve Carlan and Stuart Perry,
both of Commerce; sister and
brother-in-law, Evelyn and
Pittman Lord, Gainesville;
and grandson, Eli Carlan,
Commerce.
Funeral services were held
Friday, May 21, from the cha
pel of Little-Ward Funeral
Home with the Rev. David
Sharpton officiating. Burial
was in Jackson Memorial
Gardens.
Little-Ward Funeral Home,
Commerce, was in charge of
arrangements.

Sellers, 33, died Saturday,
May 22, 2010, at St. Mary’s
Hospital.
Born in Jackson County, he
was the son of Billy H. Sellers
of Danielsville and Theresa
Morris of Commerce.
Survivors in addition to
his parents include his wife,
Jennifer Carpenter Sellers,
Gainesville; daughters, Gracie
and Kayla Sellers, both of
Gainesville; a brother, Pete
Sellers, Homer; and sisters,
Michelle Jones and Ashley
Sellers, both of Danielsville.
Funeral services were
held Tuesday, May 25, from
the chapel of Little-Ward
Funeral Home with the Rev.
David Strickland officiating.
Burial was in the Nicholson
Cemetery.

Fran Simonton, 58, died

A native of Gainesville, she
was the daughter of Frances
Louise Carter Ward and the
late Gilder Ray Ward. Mrs.
Simonton was a homemaker.
Survivors include her hus
band of 29 years, Billy Dean
Simonton; children, Bronson
Dorsey, Britt Ray Simonton
and Tabitha Fran Pue; sis
ter, Patricia Ann Young; five
grandchildren and one great
grandchild.

Everett Sorrow, 83, died
Friday, May 21, 2010, at his
residence.
Born in Madison County,
he was the son of the late John
Wesley and Darlene Mathis
Sorrow. He was a member of
New Harmony Baptist Church
and was a veteran of the

Survivors include his wife,
Mary Ellen Archer Sorrow,
Nicholson; a son, Larry

Rhonda Sorrow, Nicholson;
brothers and sisters-in-law,

Bobby and Jackie Archer,
Alice and the late Leroy
Pearson, all of Nicholson;
three grandchildren, Sonya
Sikes, Jefferson, Todd Sorrow,
Nicholson, Bucky Sorrow,
Nicholson; six great-grand
children; and a number of
nieces and nephews. His care
taker was Dot Haggard.
Funeral services were held
Sunday, May 23, from New
Harmony Baptist Church with
the Revs. Allen Seagraves and
Gary Prater officiating. Burial
was in the church cemetery.

Bennett, Maysville; seven
grandchildren and 11 great
grandchildren.

the Revs. Kenneth Dillard
Sr. and Joe Brooks officiat
ing. Burial was in Jackson
Memorial Gardens.

CLEARWATER, FLA. -
Florence Faulkner Voyles, 95,
formerly of Commerce, died
Saturday, May 15, 2010.
Born in Hall County, she
was the daughter of the late
Pat and Essie Porter Faulkner.
She was a retired seamstress
from Blue Bell and a member
of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
She loved her church and
worked with various commit
tees, loved ones stated. Mrs.
Voyles was preceded in death
by her husband, George Otis
Voyles.
Survivors include her
daughter and son-in-law,
Sandra and Tom Richarme,
Clearwater, Fla.; brother,
M.S. Faulkner, Snellville;
grandchildren and spouses,
Lara and Brian Anderson and
Jason and Julie Richarme;
great-grandchildren, Logan
and Leia Anderson and Julian
Richarme; and special care
giver, Hilda Garcia.
Funeral services were held
Thursday, May 20, at Mt.
Olive Baptist Church with the
Revs. Jimmy Berry and Verlin
Reece officiating. Burial
was in the church cemetery.

Wilbanks, 71, died Monday,
May 24, 2010, at his resi
dence.
Born on April 17, 1939, in
Banks County, he was the son
of the late Hillard Virgil and
Rumyrth Andrews Wilbanks.
He was a member of Lamar
Christian Church and a for
mer member
of the National
Guard. He was
employed with
Carwood Manufacturing for
25 years and was recently
employed with Ken-Bar
Manufacturing with 15 years
of service.
Survivors include his
wife, Mary Ann Williams

Bobby G. Wilbanks and Joey
D. Wilbanks, both of Baldwin;
sisters and brothers-in-law,
Faye and William Ward,
