SURVIVAL CLASS HELD AT JCCHS
Jackson County Comprehensive High School JROTC
Program recently had its annual survival class. The class
es included proper attitude and improvisation, as well as
how to build shelters, find and purify water, find and pre
pare food and build fires using both modern and primitive
methods. After classroom instruction, the cadets went
outside to put their new skill to practical use.

Hawk landed at Jackson County Comprehensive High
School recently for a program with JROTC cadets.

The United States Army National Guard recently flew to
Jackson County Comprehensive High School to give
JROTC cadets an oppor
tunity to see the helicop
ter. The soldiers explained
their experiences and what
it took to be eligible to fly
a Black Hawk in the Army.
The Panther Battalion has
flights at least once a year
to give everyone in the
program a chance to have
the experience.
