Racial slurs tossed around
A DISPUTE between
neighbors in Pendergrass
erupted with racial slurs
tossed around during the inci
dent, according to the Jackson
County Sheriff’s Office.
A couple at an Old State
Road address said they were
awakened by a neighbor argu
ing. The couple told them to
be quiet and an argument
started among several neigh
bors on the street.
Some of the neighbors
called others “n***ers,”
according to an incident
report, while one of them
called the other a “hillbilly
whore.”
One of the neighbors
threatened to burn a cross in a
yard, burn down a house and
warned a female neighbor to
“watch her stuff.”
All of the neighbors were
given warnings for disorderly
conduct and told to call 911
with any other incidents.

‘Friend’ gets beating, mom hits him with car

The friend — also 19 years

he wanted a ride home. The

The friend continued walk

The mother said she saw the

and push him to the ground.
The mother said during the

the car and ran over his foot,
causing severe damage to his
ankle.
Witnesses said they saw the
