Oil reported missing
from two businesses
Results from recent Superior Court proceedings listed
TWO JEFFERSON busi
nesses recently had large
quantities of oil reported
missing.
According to incident
reports filed at the Jefferson
Police Department, oil was
missing from a 200-gallon
tank at one business and from
a 350-gallon tank at another
business. Both business own
ers reported that the barrels
had been full of waste oils that
were to have been recycled.
OTHER INCIDENTS
Other incidents reported
to the police department last
week include the following:
•an officer pulled over a
man for driving too close to
the vehicle in front of him.
Before the vehicle stopped,
the driver tossed out a bag
with white powder in it. The
man also had a bag with a
green leafy substance in it in
his pocket.
•auto parts taken from a
Washington Street business.
•reports of a dog barking at
a Monte Lane address.
•disturbance at a Jefferson
Terrace Apartments address,
•fight between two j uveniles

without finishing the job and
took some of the supplies that
she had purchased.
•leaving the scene of an
accident at a Washington

•a man said he was driving
on Winder Hwy. when rocks
from a lawn mower struck his
vehicle and damaged it.
•an Oak Street resident
said she was doing yard work
when two passing motorists
cursed at her after she asked
them to slow down.
•a Danielsville Street
woman said someone knocks
on her door during the night,
•suicide attempt.

in Jackson County include

robbery, aggravated assault
and fleeing or attempting to
elude police officers, eight
years in jail, 12 years proba
tion and $1,000 fine. Charges
of false imprisonment were
dismissed.
•David Lee Cantrell, battery
and simple battery, five years
probation, no violent contact
with the victim, $1,000 fine
and alcohol and drug evalua
tion. A charge of aggravated
assault was dismissed.
•Joseph Glen Chapman,
possession of methamphet-
amine with intent to distribute,
five years probation, $1,000
fine and waive fourth amend
ment rights.
•Jonathan Wade Strickland,
possession of methamphet-
amine with intent to distribute,
five years probation, waive
fourth amendment rights and
$1,000 fine. A charge of pos
session of methamphetamine
was dismissed.
•Anton Garrison Moton,
possession of marijuana with
intent to distribute, 12 months
house arrest with an ankle
monitor and $2,000 fine.
•Michael Lawson Utzman,
violation of the Georgia
Controlled Substance Act,
$1,000 fine and four years
probation.
•Herbert Price, theft by tak
