Paintball guns to be used
THE JEFFERSON Police
Department has received
two paintball guns to use for
training, crowd control and to
deter dog bites.
Spirit Cycles in Jefferson
donated the two paintball
guns to the police depart
ment.
Police chief Joe Wirthman
said. “The police department
plans to conduct training
on barricaded gunmen and
crowd control with these new
weapons. As chief of police, I
would like to take this time to
sincerely thank Spirit Cycles
of Jefferson for their contri
bution to our police depart
ment and, in turn, the citizens
of our city.”
The department has already
received two calls this year
that involved a barricaded
gunman.
“We always try to provide
training in high liability areas,
praying that we never have
the need to use it, but if we
do, the department is ready,”
said Major David Hill of the
Jefferson Police Department.

Vandalism reported at Allen Road business
VANDALISM was reported

several five gallon buckets of
blue dye into a small pond on
the property and spray-paint

In another incident report

A neighbor said she spotted
a man and a woman near the
