31 sentenced in JC court
45 charged by Jackson County Sheriff’s Office
THIRTY-ONE people were
sentenced in recent State
Court proceedings in Jackson
County, including the follow
ing:
•Eric Vester Brown, obstruc
tion of an officer, possession
of marijuana and disorder
ly conduct, $1,000 fine, 12
months probation, alcohol and
drug counseling and banned
from Commerce City School
property.
•Bryan Bradley Boyd, pos
session of marijuana, $1,000
fine, four years probation
and waive fourth amendment
rights. Charges of sale of mar
ijuana and possession of mari
juana with intent to distribute
were dismissed.
•Deandra Lamar Harris,
forgery, $1,000 fine and four
years probation.
•Kip Ryan Beatty, entering
an automobile, $1,500 fine,
restitution, four years proba
tion and 90 days in jail.
•Richard Jason Bradberry,
possession of methamphet-
amine, $1,000 fine, four years
probation, 60 days in jail,
alcohol and drug evaluation
and waive fourth amendment
rights.
•Joseph Jennett Hall, pos
session of a firearm by a con
victed felon and loitering and
prowling, $1,500 fine, five
years probation and 90 days
in jail.
•Eldridge Brothers, child
molestation, 12 years in jail,
eight years probation and
$1,000 fine. A charge of
aggravated child molestation
was dismissed.
•Kimberly Deann Bailey,
deposit account fraud, 12
months probation, 40 hours
community service and resti
tution.
•Linda Suzette Bales, pos
session of cocaine and forgery,
one year in jail, three years
probation and $1,500 fine.
•Bobby Dwayne Beck, sim
ple battery, no contact with
the victims and 12 months
probation.
•Anthony Edward Bettis,
DUI, 12 months probation, 72
hours in jail, Risk Reduction
Program, $1,000 fine, 24
hours community service and
drug and alcohol evaluation.

Commerce resident burned by gas grill last week
A COMMERCE resident
received first and second
degree burns from a gas grill
Friday.
Commerce Rescue/Fire and
Jackson County EMS respond
ed to 187 Cotton Street on a
reported gas grill fire with a
person burned. They found
a male with first and second
degree burns on his face and
head from a flash fire involv
ing a gas grill.
The victim was treated at
the scene and transported by
Air Medical Helicopter to
Grady Memorial Hospital in
Atlanta for treatment in their
burn unit.
No other injuries were
reported and there was no
damage to the residence. The
patient was listed as being in
“serious condition.”
