JCCHS open house is planned for August 3
Jefferson Middle School
open house, registration set
JACKSON COUNTY
Comprehensive High School
open house is scheduled for
Tuesday, August 3, from 5-7
REGISTRATION WILL
be held at Jefferson High
School on the following
dates:
•Thursday. July 29, 12th
graders, noon to 1:30 p.m.,
cafeteria.
•Thursday. July 29, 11th
graders, 2 to 3:30 p.m.,
cafeteria.
•Friday, July 30, 10th
graders. 10:30 a.m. to noon.

The ninth grade parent
meeting will begin at 6 p.m.
in the J.L. McMullan audi-
cafeteria.
•Friday, July 30, ninth
graders, 1 to 3 p.m., caf
eteria.
Students will complete
the following activities at
registration: Pick up class
schedule, be photographed
for student ID card and
yearbook, get locker rental
for $10, purchase parking
permits for $25, pick up
torium on the JCCHS cam
pus.

school store, meet teach
ers and staff and ask ques
tions.
Classes begin Monday,
Aug. 2. There will be dif
ferent times for the school
day this year. The school
day will start at 7:50 a.m.

ninth grade students. Bus
transportation will be pro
vided.

A school counselor is
available every Wednesday
from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. dur
ing the summer months to
assist students and parents
with course schedules and
transcripts.

JEFFERSON MIDDLE
School will be holding open
house/registration on Friday,
July 30, from 2 to 5 p.m.
During registration, parents
and students will complete the
necessary documentation for
the 2010-2011 school year,
receive their schedule, meet
their teachers, and obtain other
important information about
Jefferson Middle School. All
registration materials can be
accessed on the Jefferson
Middle School website at jef-
fcityschools.org. Parents may
complete all documents prior to
open house to help expedite the
registration process.
All students returning to
Jefferson City Schools will
report to their grade level halls
upon arrival. New students
to the Jefferson City School
System should report to the
front office.
An opportunity will be
provided for parents to pur
chase additional items for then-
student, such as lockers and
physical education uniforms.
School supplies and Booster
Club memberships will also be
available for purchase.

Open house planned at Jefferson Academy
JEFFERSON ACADEMY
will hold open house and reg
istration on Friday. July 30,
from noon until 4 p.m.
This is a dedicated time
for parents to update school
records and for students to
meet their homeroom teach
ers.
In support of the uniform pol
icy and as a service to parents,
Jefferson Academy will pre
sell school uniforms at a dis
counted price on Wednesday,
July 14, and Wednesday, July
21, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
The uniform apparel will also
be available during open house.
Sales will be held in the gym at
Jefferson Academy.

School System.
New students to JCS who
will be entering grades 6,
7. or 8 may register from
9 - 11:30 a.m. on one of the

bill, etc.).
•Withdrawal form and
academic records from the
last school attended in a
sealed envelope.
Any student withdraw
ing from Jefferson Middle

ing these dates and times.

8 a.m. to noon
Returning students who
have a change of address are
asked to please bring proof
of this to registration.
Students who are new to
the area and have not yet reg
istered, may do so Monday
through Friday from 8 a.m.
to 4 p.m.
Students should bring
birth certificate, Social
Security card, immunization
and proof of residency when
registering.
