NEW PASTOR WELCOMED
Holly Springs United Methodist, Pendergrass,
announces its new pastor, Jerry Cameron, of Lula.
Cameron was appointed to the church by the
Gainesville District. Cameron is also a chaplain for
NEGA Medical Center in Gainesville. His wife, Pam,
is a native of Atlanta and works at MDA Holdings in
Norcross. They have four married children and five
grandchildren. The church is located at 7441 Holly

The Hebron Schoolhouse
(located behind Hebron

open every Wednesday to the
young and “young at heart”

Madison Street Baptist
Church, Commerce, would
like to thank everyone involved
in last week’s Vacation Bible
School. “151 children and
workers participated to make
this one of our best VBSs to
date. The workers as well as
the children had a great time
as we learned of Joseph's
faith in the one true God and
traveled through Egypt with
its many shops, animal court
yard and Pharaoh’s palace,”
leaders state.

its annual back-to-school
clothes closet and book bag
mission on Saturday, July
24, from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. in
the fellowship hall. Clothing
items will range from infant
to adult sizes and are free
to those in need. Book bags
filled with basic school sup
plies will be available to
school-age children. There
will be a limited amount of
book bags, so everyone is
asked to have their children
present and only one bag per
child is allowed. The church is

dren’s books. Peterson
is poised to release his
new album “Counting
Stars,” on July 27. The
CD focuses on families,
including the positive
marriage song “Dancing
In The Minefields.”

Maysville United

its grand old gospel fourth
Friday night jubilee on July
23, at 7 p.m. Everyone is
invited to attend. All pick
ers and singers who enjoy
string gospel music are invit
ed to participate. The event is
intended to be all gospel and
acoustic instruments. There
will be food and fellowship.
Everyone may bring a dessert
or covered dish of choice, but
it isn’t necessary. There will
be no admission charge and
the food is free. The church

bee. With contestants that range from an unflappable cheerleader who
cheers all her words to the anxiety-prone daughter of a movie star, spelling
words correctly may be the least of these kids’ worries! This show is
perfect for all ages..8 to 80...SO bring the entire family.
