VISITS SAVANNAH
Chuck and Iris Wheeler recently visited Savannah. They

GEORGIA REPRESENTED
Leah Tyree, Meansville, Kelly Pittman, Jefferson,
Mercedes Lakhicharran, Nicholson, and Sage
Goodspeed, Maysville, represented Georgia in the Our
Little Miss World finals held in Scottsdale, Arizona,
July 5-11. Lakhicharran is the World’s 2010 Senior
Golden Award of Excellence recipient and Pittman was
crowned 2011 World’s Senior GAE Princess. Tyree is
Georgia’s OLM Preteen and Goodspeed is Georgia’s
OLM LaPetite. The Little Miss is a 49-year-old schol
arship competition system for girls from babies to
adults.”
HERALD ON VACATION
Jeannette Finch (left) and Janie Walker took along

VISITS ITALY
The Thornton family of Pendergrass recently visited
Rome, Italy, and took along a copy of The Jackson
Herald. They are shown at the Trevi Fountain.
FAST RIDE
Bill Thornton recently visited the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, N.C., and took along The Jackson Herald.
The Herald found itself in pretty fast company as the ride in the “Simulator” had a lap time of 41.757 seconds
(about 130 mph) timed on the Charlotte Motor Speedway.
VISITING COUSINS IN ONTARIO
Trey P. Owens, Jefferson, recently visited his cousins
Eli and Rhys in Cobourg, Ontario. He took along a copy
of The Jackson Herald.
MCMULLANS IN HAWAII
Elizabeth, Sara and Cathryn McMullan took along a
copy of The Jackson Herald while visiting the Kilauea
Lighthouse on the island of Kauai, Hawaii.
