GROUP TO PERFORM
Cave Springs Baptist Church, Pendergrass, will
hold its homecoming on Sunday, August 8. The
gospel group “Out Of Nazareth” will perform at
the 11 a.m. service. A love offering will be taken.
Following the singing there will be a covered dish
dinner. For more information, call pastor Chad

Bethany United Methodist
Church will hold the follow
ing events: church women
have begun meeting after a
summer break; Wednesday,
August 4, is the start of the
Wednesday night suppers
and Bible study for all ages.
Supper is at 6 p.m. and the
cost is $4 for adults, $3 for
children or $12 for the whole
family. Bible study begins at
6:30 p.m.; Sunday, August 8,
the annual homecoming ser
vice will be held. There will
also be a covered dish din
ner; and every Sunday coffee
and doughnuts are available at
9:45 a.m., followed by Sunday
at 10 a.m. and church at 11
a.m. The church is located on
Brockton Road.
First Baptist Church,
Winder, will host the “Thirsty
2010 Women's Conference”
on Friday, August 6, from 6 -
9 p.m. and Saturday, August 7,
from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Women
of any age may attend. Lisa
Harper, a nationally recog
nized speaker for women of
faith, will be the guest speak
er. Tickets are $15 per person
and include the conference,
dinner on Friday and lunch on

Madison Street Baptist
Church, Commerce, will
honor educators on Sunday,
August 8, with a special edu
cator’s appreciation service
and fellowship at 6 p.m. All

Association will meet at 8
a.m. on Saturday, August 7, in
the conference room of BJC
Hospital in Commerce. All
ministers and laypersons are

Providence Baptist
Church, Nicholson, will
hold a church benefit on
Saturday, August 7, at 4 p.m.,
at the home of Bobby and Dot
Garrett, located at 5116 Hwy.
441 South. The cost will be
donations for church repairs.
There will be gospel singing,
praise and worship. Ladies
are asked to bring cakes for
a cake auction. Hamburgers
and hotdogs will be available.
There will be gift giveaways.
Everyone is asked to bring a
lawn chair.
St. Paul First Baptist
Church will celebrate the
church youth during the
11 a.m. service on Sunday,
August 8. The theme is
“Young believers with an old
time religion.” The speaker
will be Trey Sims, son of
the Rev. and Mrs. Kenneth
Sims of Commerce. Trey
Sims is a 2010 honor graduate
of Commerce High School.

a summer revival Sunday,
August 8, at 7 p.m. and
Tuesday through Thursday,
