“Dee” Adams, 72, died
Thursday, August 5, 2010.
Born in Wickenburg, Ariz.,
she was the daughter of the
late Robert and Bernice Lister
Dozier. Mrs. Adams was pre
ceded in death by a son, Mark
Adams. She received her nurs
ing degree from St. Joseph’s
School of Nursing, Phoenix.
Ariz., and had worked in hospi
tals and doctors’ offices in both
Wickenburg and Kingman.
Ariz. She was a member of
New Franklin Christian Church,
where she was a choir member,
and had previously attended
Erastus Christian Church. She
was a member of Elberton
Senior Center.
Survivors include her hus
band, Mitchell Adams; a son,
Bruce (Mary) Adams. Bolder
City, Nev.; daughter. Shelley
Christenson, Elberton; daugh-
ter-in-law, Becky Adams.
Wickenburg. Ariz.; sister,
Barbara Murray, Elephant Bute,
Nev., grandchildren. Jennifer.
Justine, Lora and Beth; and a
great-grandson, Tanner.
Funeral services were held
Sunday. August 8. from New
Franklin Christian Church with
the Rev. Carl Beckham officiat
ing. Burial was at Danielsville
Memorial Gardens.

Omie Dean
Brown. He
was a retired textile worker
with the Jefferson and Walton
Mills and was a member of
Revival Baptist Church. Mr.
Brown was preceded in death
by brothers, Otis, Will, Noah
and Johnny Brown; and sis
ters. Mary Skelton and Lizzie
Stewart.
Survivors include his wife.
Jewell Stowe Brown, Braselton;
daughters and sons-in-law,
Shirley and David Ashworth.
Auburn. Geraldine and Larry
Gaddis. Braselton; sons and
daughters-in-law, Robert Ray
and Ann Brown, Braselton,
Freddie Lee and Sara Brown,
Colbert; a sister. Sara Skelton.
Commerce; eight grandchil
dren; and 20 great-grandchil
dren.

Tuesday, August 10. from the
Revival Baptist Church with
the Revs. Howard Spruill and
Robby Brown and Pastor Terry
Paige officiating. Burial was in
the church cemetery. Pallbearers
were Larry Dee Gaddis,
Toby Brown, Wesley Gaddis.

Roper Pump Company. Mr.

Jefferson, she was the daughter
of the late Ed and Ada Tolbert
Hardy.

High School

of Georgia,
where she
received a
Master’s
Degree in Education. She was
retired from the Jefferson High
School, where she worked as
a librarian, and was a member
of Galilee Christian Church,
where she served as a Sunday
School teacher and member of
the choir. Mrs. Elder was pre
ceded in death by her husband,
Billy Elder; brother, Joel Cecil
(Jack) Hardy; and a sister,
Billie Kathryn Hardy Wells.
Survivors include sons,
Bill Elder. Gainesville, John
Elder and Bert Elder, both of
Jefferson, and Joseph Elder
(Julie). Conyers; and grand
children. Daniel Brady Elder,
