Copper stolen from Hoschton chicken houses
THEFT OF copper from
chicken houses in Hoschton
is among the incidents report
ed to the Jackson County
Sheriff’s Office last week.
A roll of copper that was
outside at the chicken houses
on Jackson Trail Road was
taken, as well as a plastic con
tainer that had copper in it.

ONE PERSON INJURED
One person was injured in a five-vehicle collision on Highway
11/129 at Concord Road on Thursday. Aug. 19. Connie Albigese, 57.
Flowery Branch, the driver of a Honda Accord was transported to the
hospital with injuries following the accident. According to the report
Albigese traveling north on Hwy. 11.129 in the inside lane failed to
stop for a red light and was struck by a Ford pickup driven by Warren
Fortson. 55, Lawrenceville, as he was attempting a left turn off of
Concord Road. The impact caused the Honda to strike a Ford van driv
en by Michael Jackson. 30. Toccoa, and a tractor trailer driven by Jason
Henson, 30, Gainesville, as they were stopped in the south bound lanes
of Hwy. 11/129. The Honda and the Ford van then struck a Ford pickup
driven by Gregory Crump, 49, Colbert, who was stopped behind the

Traffic fatality reported
ONE PERSON was killed
in a traffic accident Sunday
afternoon around 2:15 p.m.
on Sanford Road at Watkins
Farm Road in Nicholson.
Lisa Renay Martin, 45,
Winterville, a front seat pas
senger, died from her injuries
after the vehicle overturned.
Units from Nicholson Fire/
Rescue, Commerce Rescue
and Jackson County EMS
were called to the accident
on Sunday. They found a one-
vehicle accident with Martin
trapped underneath the over
turned vehicle.
Two men were also in the
vehicle and they received
minor injuries.
The Georgia State Patrol’s
Specialized Collision
Reconstruction Team (SCRT)
is investigating the acci
dent, along with the Jackson
County Sheriff’s Office and
the Jackson County coroner’s
office.
