Tires stolen and replaced on someone’s vehicle
A woman on Wages
Bridge Road called the Jack-
son Countys Sheriff’s Office
complaining about all four of
her tires being stolen off of
her vehicle and then replaced
by much older tires.
The woman believes her
brother stole the tires because
of his drug use and jealousy
he has for her.
OTHER INCIDENTS
Other incidents reported to
the Jackson Sheriff’s Office
in Nicholson were:
•illegal dumping on Jarrett
Road where someone left a
pile of tires on the side of
the road.
•stolen license plate and
vehicle recovery on Jim
David Road where a man
found a car that didn’t belong
to him parked in his driveway.
•suspicious person on Pine
Ridge Place where a man
drove to a neighborhood to
borrow a phone charger from
a friend.
•information on Quail
Ridge Road where a man

removed a washer, refriger
ator, water heater and front
screen door, but he did not
move the trailer. The man
then wanted $600 to demolish
the home and to oversee con
struction of a new home for
the property owner.
•a woman said she had a
call from a collection agen
cy saying she owes Comcast
$278 She said she had never
had service with Comcast.
The collection agency said
a woman by her name in
Augusta owes for the service
from May 2012. The woman
said she has never lived in
Augusta.
•a man said his father-in-
law’s Ford F150 was stolen
the night of May 18. He said
it was last seen about 6 p.m.
May 17 when he visited his
father-in-law. The man said
a few days ago he came to
visit and several people he
did not know were inside the
house. He said he asked them
to leave and they did. How
ever, his father-in-law could
not find his key after that. He
said he had seen a woman
who was at the house driv
ing his father-in-law’s truck
around town. He also said
her boyfriend had been seen
driving it.
•a woman said a neighbor
told her two men have been
stealing items from her prop
erty. Missing were one trail
camera, four Tonka toys and
one cast iron pot.
•a man on Hog Mountain
Road said two TVs, a 42-inch
Sanyo and a 32-inch Mag-
navox were taken from his
house while he worked. He
said he left the house at 4:45
a.m. and returned about 5:30.
Entry was apparently made
through the side door by pry
ing it open. Some pry marks
were found on the door and
frame.

OF 2017! - This past Saturday,
we bid farewell to a gifted group
of Seniors from the Class of
2017. These talented, hardwork
ing young men and women are
now headed to colleges and uni
versities throughout the U.S. to
continue their training.
This unique class was awarded
more than $1.5 million in aca
demic and athletic scholarship
aid. But even more impressive
is the fact that over 70% of this
year’s class qualified for Zell
Miller or Hope Scholarships!
In addition to remarks by our
Valedictorian, Salutatorian, and
Class President, five of our Se
niors gave personal testimonies
about their relationship with the
Lord and their years at ACS. It
was a great night for our School.

a suspect in an ongoing inves
tigation might have used his
driveway to turn around.
•reckless driving on Lakev-
iew Drive where an SUV was
driving at a fast speed through
the parking lot of East Jack-
son Park and nearly hitting a
few civilians.
•welfare check on Winding
Vine Lane were an elderly
woman told police that she
was okay and that her daugh
ter just worries too much.
•assist Georgia State Patrol
on Hwy. 334 where a vehicle
was damaged and in a cow
pasture on the side of the
road. The driver was taken
to Piedmont Athens Regional
Medical Center.
•suspicious vehicle on
Sanford Road where a vehi
cle broke down in a man’s
driveway. The man said that
the vehicle could stay on his
property until 9 a.m. the next
morning.
•no valid insurance on
Hwy. 441 where police
stopped a vehicle that was
driving all over the road. The
driver revealed that the steer
ing was messed up. Police ran
his tag and found that the car
wasn’t insured. The vehicle
was towed and the driver was
taken home.
•gun shots in the area on
Wilson Cemetery Road where
a man was target shooting in a
safe direction in his backyard.
•agency assist on Old
Kings Bridge Road where a
vehicle crashed into a tree.
The driver received only
minor injuries.
•theft by taking on Hunters
Ridge Road where medica
tion was stolen off of a front
porch.
•harassing text messages on
Pace Drive where a woman
was receiving texts from three
unknown numbers.
•dispute on Tommy Barnett
Road where a man accused
his roommates of stealing his
wallet and other belongings.
