PACKING SCHOOL SUPPLIES
Children and adults pack up school supplies at last year’s back-to-school bash at Commerce First
United Methodist Church.
Commerce UMC plans
back-to-school bash
Commerce First United Methodist Church will host its
18th annual back-to-school bash at 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6.
Every year Commerce FUMC sponsors a meal and col
lects school supplies for children in the Jackson and Banks
Counties school systems so they may have the things they
need to start the school year.
Some of the items needed are: 24 count crayons, Fiskar
Scissors, Loose leaf wide-ruled Paper, Glue sticks, 3”
3-ring Binders, 2” 3-ring binders, 3” X 5” index cards, 4”
X 6” index cards, 3-prong folders with pockets, Erasers,
Hi-Liters, Colored pencils.
All supplies are given to area schools and will be dis
tributed by school administration.
“This is the 18th year for Commerce FUMC to collect
school supplies for children in our local community. All
donations of school supplies or cash will be gladly accept
ed,” state leaders.
Commerce FUCM is at 16 Cherry Street. Commerce.

make your reservation for the meal (Hamburgers and hot-
dogs). The meal is free with a donation.
