Morgan
to speak at
First Baptist
Joe Morgan will speak
Wednesday, Aug. 16 and
Aug. 23, regarding the
Contemporary Service at
the First Baptist Church
of Jefferson.
“The Contemporary
Service is called ‘Reach,’”
and it is growing at a rate
that we can’t keep up
with, which, of course,
is a great thing,” Morgan
said.
These Wednesday night
programs (from 6:30 to
7:30) will give a back
ground on the beginning
of the Reach Service.
Morgan said. “I formed
a Music Publishing Com
pany, called Heaven’s
Reach Publishing, which
consists of five members
and we write original,
Contemporary Praise
Worship songs.
“They are copyrighted
and have already been
picked up by some in the
music industry (we have
begun to receive royalty
checks for some of our
work).”
Morgan said the group
will introduce 10 of their
new songs (five each
Wednesday night) to those
in attendance and tell the
“Back Story” on each
song. . . some of which
were (unknowingly)
inspired by the hardships
from some of our church
members... .the names of
those will be revealed on
the first Wednesday night.
Morgan has been in the
production industry for 48
years. He was among the
first to produce music vid
