Washington, Dec. 15.—The business transacted in the Senate to day was un important. Mr. of Pennsylvania, made a speech on the introduction of a memorial from the iron masters of Pennsyl vania, asking for such an alteration of the present tariff laws as to l*vy specific duties on iron. Lq the House, the Watrous impeach ment case was decided. That body refused to impeach the Judge by a vote of ninety one to one hundred and thirteen. Washington Dec. 15.—President Bu ehanan communicated to Congress to-day (but not in time to be presented,) theofficial correspondence between Commodore Mclntosh and the, British officers at-San Juan. Commodore Mclntojh pronounces the explanation of those British officers as -satisfactory, fair and frank. It is understood that ‘lie President makes no communication of any course or policy to bo pursued. Washington, Dice. 16. —The Stales to clay publishes authoritively the ‘views of the administration in regard to Central America. The of the article is, that England is alibinto consummate new treaties with Honduras and Nicaragua', by which England voluntarily determines to retire from the Protectorate of the Mos quito Territory, and rhtinquisli her possess ion of the Ruatan; which, if carried into effect, will render the abrogation of the Clay ton Bnlwcr treaty unnecessary.
