so:— Dear Sir: I see you have bought the Right to make, use and
Clark’s Patent Flouring Mill, in the State of Georgia, [except the counties of
Jasper and Morgan, which right, I hold, under deed, from the Patentee;] as you want some
evidence nearer home, as to the utility of this Mill, than those in Mr. Clark’s Bills, I here
by certify, that I wanted just such a Mill as Mr. Clark’s seemed to be, that 1 took my Mil
ler and went Philadelphia, to inspect the same, and so well satisfied was I, of its advan
tages, that I not” only bought an individual right, but the right of Jasper & Morgan counties.
I see no reason, (since I have put mine in operatio n) r to distrust the capability of this Mill
to do all, which he [Mr. Clark] states can be done, and that in this increasingly Wheat grow

Ayer’s Cathartic Pills.
TIIE sciences of Chemistry and Medicine have been
taxed their utmost to produce this best, most perfect
purgative which is known to man. Innumerable prcc&
ara shown that these Pills have virtues which surpass in
Excellence the ordinary medicines, and that they win un
precedentedly upon the esteem of all men. They aresafb
and pleasant to take, but powerful to cure. Their pene
trating properties stimulate the vital activitiesof the body,
remove the obstructions of Its organs, purify the blood*
and expel disease. They purge out tho foul h umors which
breed and grow distemper, stimulate sluggish or disor
dered organs into their natural action, and impart healthy
tone with strength to the whole system. Not only do*
they cure the every-day complaints of every body, but
also formidable and dangerous diseases that have baffled
the best of human skill. While they produce powerful
effects, they are at the same time, in diminished doses, th*
safest and best physic that can be employed for children.
Being sugar-coated, they are pleasant to take; and being
purely vegetable, are free from any risk of harm. Cures
have been made which surpass belief were they not sub
stantiated by meD of such exalted position and character
as to forbid the suspicion of nntrutb. Many eminent
clergymen and physicians have lent their names to certify
to tho public the reliability of my remedies, while other*
have sent me the assurance of their conviction that my
Preparations contribute immensely to the relief of my
afflicted, suffering fellow-men.

certificates of their cures, of the following complaints:—-

arising therefrom, Flatulency, Loss of Appetite, all Ulcer
