Jan. 4, 18-fff 46 $ i W HO ‘ WANTS BETTER EVI-| »v DENCE?—I would refer the read ing pubheto Die numerous voluntary letters published recently in this paper and in the Good Samaritan relative to the happy and beneficial ell'acts of ilie administration of MOFFIT’S LIFE PILLS AND PHE MX BITTERS. Those who have perused the letters above referred Jo will observe that in almost every case they attest tbe tact, that no inconven ience of Sny sort attends tbe taking of these medicines, iu ordinary cases, but that the .mtient, without feeling their operation, is universally left in a stronger and bettar state es health than was experienced previous to eing afflicted with disease, and in all cases of acute suffering, great relief is obtained in a few iiours, and a cure is generally ef fected in two or three days. Iu cases of FEVER ol every description, iand all bilious affections, it is unnecessary fur me to say aught, as I believe the LIKE MEDICINES are now universally admitted to be the most speedy and eff'clual cure ex tant it) ail diseases of that class. The LIFE MEDICINES arc also a most excellent relief in affections of the Li ver aud Bowels, as has been pro»ed in hun dreds of cases where patients have came forward and requosted their experience in taking them might be published for the ben efit ol others. Iu their operation in such cases, they restore tbe tone of the Stomach, strengthen the digestive organs, and invigo rate the general functions of the whole body and tint become to both sexes (for thenar* per for fly adapted to each) an invaluable ■nouns of peveutiug disease aud restoiiug health. In affections of the head, whether ac companied with pain and giddiness, or mar ked by tiie grievous calamity of impaired mental energy; in palpitations of the heart, flatulence, loss of appetite, and strength, and lie multiplied symtoms of disordered di gestion, THE LIFE MEDICINES will be found to possess the most salutary effica cy. Constitutions relaxed, w ak, or decayed, in men or women, are under the immediate influence of TH E LIFE MEDICINES.— Uld coughs, a.nthni'is and cotisomptive ha bits are soon relieved and speedily cured.— P(>vertVL_of blood, and emaciated limbs will ere long meet the happiest change; the chill watery fluid will become rich and bal samic, and the limbs covered with flesh, firm and healthy Nervous disorders of every kind, ami from whatever cause arising, lly before th# es ( cts of THE LIFE MEDICINES, and all that train of sinkings, anxieties, and tre mours which so dreadfully affect the weak, the scden'ary, and toe delicate, will in a short tune lie succeeded by cheerful ness, and every presage of health For weakliest), deficiency of natural strength, and relaxation ofihe vessels, by too frequent indulgence ofthe passions, this medicine is a safe, certain, aud invaluable remedy. Those who have long resided in hot cli mates, and are languid and relaxed in their whole system, m.iy take THE LIFE ME DICINES with the happiest alfec's; and persons removing to the Southern States or ’(Vest Indies can not store a more important article of health aud life. The following cases arc n notig the most recent cutes enectcd, and gratefully ae know>edged by the persons benefited : Case, of Jacob C. ilatit, New Windsor, Orange county, N Y—A dreadful tumor destroyed nearlytbe whole of his face, nose auri jaw. Experienced quick relief from the use el the Life Medicines, and in less than three months wav entirely cured. (Case reported, wit!) a woo l engraving in anew pamphlet now in press.) t 'a»e of Thosmas Bursell, sen’r 81 years of age—was afflicted 18 years with a swell ing ill hi* legs —was er.t rely cured by tak ing 42 pills in three weeks. Ccse of John Daulton, Aberdeen, Ohio; rheumatism five years— -is entirely cured--- has used the LIFE MEDICINES for worms in children and found them a sove reign remedy. Case of Lewis * ustin, periodical sick headache, always relieved by a small dose, now entirely free from it. Case of Adon Ames ; cured of a most in veterate and obstinate dyspepsia, and gener al debility. Case of Adah Adams. Extraordinary case of Lyman Pratt, who was afflicted with Phthisic 20 years; effect ed a perfect cure in 24 hours'by the use of the Life Medicines. '1 housands of persons afflicted in like manner, have by a judicious use of MOF- J 'T'S LIFE PILLS and PHENIX BIT rERS, been lestored to the enjoyment of all the comforts of life. The Bitters are pleasant to the taste and smell, gently as tringe the fibres of the stomach, and give that proper tensity which a good digestion requit s. As nothing can be better adapted to help and nourish the constitution, so there is nothing more generally acknowled ged to be peculiarly efficacious in a'l in ward wasting*, loss of appetite, indigestion, depression of spirits, trembling or shaking of the hands and limbs, obstinate coughs, shortness of breath, or consumptive habits. The Life Medicines possess wonderful efficacy in all ncivous disorders weakness, heaviness and lowness of spirits., dimness oi sight, confused thoughts, wandering of the mind, vapour and melancholy, and all kinds of hysteric complaints are gradually remov ed bv their use. Insicknessof tbestomach, flatulences, or obstructions, they are safe and powerful, and as a purifier ofthe blood, they have not their equal in the world. Though we shall refrain from an expressio of our opinion, either ol the sennit ness c nsoundness of Dr. Goelicke's new dortrin, we are happy to say that we deem his Sanative too valuable not to be generally known—for what our eyes behold and our ears hear, we must believe. We hereby state, that when Dr. Louis Off on Goelicke first came before the German public, as the pretended discoverer of anew doctrine and anew medicine, we held him in the highest contempt, believing, and openlv pronouncing him to be abase impostor and the prince of quacks. But, on hearing so much jaii! about the Sanative, against it arid for it, we were induced, front motives of cu riosity merely, to make trial of its reputed virtues upon a number of our most hopeless patients; and we now deem it our bounden duty (even at the expense of our self inter est) publicly to acknowledge its efficacy in curing not only consumption, but other fear ful maladies, iwhich we have heretofore be lieved to be incurable. Our contempt for the discoverer of this medicine was at once swallowed up in our utter astonishment at these unexpected results; and, as amends lar our abuse of him, we do frankly confess lo the world, that we believe him a philan thropist. who dors honor to the profession, and to our country, which gave him birth. The recent adoption of Inis medicine into some of our European hospitals is a snffi ent gnarantythat it performs nil its promises.
