This morning at 11. o'clock, in spite lof the inclement weather, the funeral |of Mr Howard Irwin Watt, at St ■ George’s church was largely attended. ;In fact the crowd could hardly be seated in the body of the church. The floral offerings were beautiful, being I in the main composed of lillies, ferns, ' lilacs and roses As the funeral train passed in the I door Mr. 11. A. Walfsohn sang an exs Iquisite solo, and then Archdeacon Walton leid the beautiful burial ser i vices and still further conducted the I curemonies The air was almost stilled i in the church, so impressive were the j services, and there was no one that I attended but who felt that a friend was gone, bu; to be met again a’ the Resurrection. The manager of the Lancashire In i surance Company and the office asso ciates of Mr Watt, came down in a : body from Atlanta to attend the fun eral, bringing with them handsome ! floral tributes —♦ — Patronize Home Institutions- We commend the following from the Macon Evening News, to the cit izens of Griffin : “As the News has already suggested, a public m mement -' mild b- 1 s'ar'ed to secure pledges to support home ■ institutions.
