Henry Smith returned this morning from Atkinson, Ga , where he had been with the Griffin party who are spending a week on the Satilla river He reports all well and enjoying themselves, but not as many fish being caught as on their previous trip. C. A. Dickinson, W, V. Maddox, Wm. M. Glaw and Henry Jickson, al) of this county, left this morning for Charleston, where they will attend the Confederate Reunion. These gentle men are all true Confederates and are able representatives of Spalding Coun ty Camp. Judge M. W. Beck and family ar rived in the city at noon today from Jackson and will make this their future home. All Griffin hails with delight the coming to our midst of this excellent family. Judge Beck has bought the old Charlton place on i South 11 ill street. Quite a crowd of our young people attended the picnic at Patrick’s pond Saturday and all report a delightful time.
