A I’leuliar Locomotive.
A peculiar locomotive has just will been
manufactured in Boston, and be
tested on the Boston and Lowell railroad.
It has but one driving wheel on each side,

round, have a periphery composed of a
series of plain facets connected with each
other by very obtuse angles. It is claimed
that the flat surfaces will give greater ad¬
hesion to the track and make the engine
more powerful than any heretofore con¬

A Misleading Premonition.
A negro woman of Pulaski, Tenn., told
