Who has not been annoyed at a lecture by that intolerable Aus&nce, a coughing neighbor? One man or woman can de¬ stroy the pleasure of a houseful of people bv a constant hacking, which is largely habit, after all. John L. Stoddard was so much annoyed one evening at the Academy by a chorus of coughs all over the auditorium that he stopped in the middle of his lecture and suggested tliat so much of it was certainly unnecessary, but if people must cough they would oblige him and the audience by coughing in their handkerchiefs. The result proved tliat the habit could lie controlled, for there was hardly a cough heard dur¬ ing the rest of the evening.—Pliiladel- phia Times. yoll wEiQHr-j CREAM Baking .JJPS?
