Haralson, Ga., May 11.—The pic nic on the 5lli iust., was not only oar grandest one,but in the afternoon our crops were visited with a refreshing rain and another Hunday and still another Tuesday. Miss Miopia Fuller, a very lovely youDg lady, was the guest of Miss Estelle Griffin at the “Bee Hive” last Sunday. I Misses Ida Philpot and Maggie Phillips, of Harri8onville, Jessie A1 bright, % of Lutherville, and DolJie Ector, of Greenville, four very beauti ful, loveable and accomplished young ladies, were guests of Miss Carrie Taylor at the “Magnolia" Saturday night, accompanied by Walt. Ector and Jack It. Strickland, of Rocky Mount. The beautiful and highly accom plished Miss Mary Lou Williams, from Lutherville, and an exceptional ly lovely little lade, Miss Fannie Pea vy, Miss of Effie Greenville, were tho guests of j Pope Saturday night. Miss Bee Hardaway and Charles RobersoD, of Midway, and Capt. Joe Smith, of Jones Mills, were guests of D. E. Smith last Sunday. Dr. Tignor St Sod, Col. Robert Tignor, of Jonesboro, and Col. Ai bert Rawls, of the Gate City, were guests of Jesse Rawls, at Eureka ! Mills, laet Saturday night. I Messrs. Travis aDd Kelly, ot Fay j ette, and Miss Camilla Owens, of Oakland, inson Saturday were guests of Ben Hutch | ! night. Messrs. Hendricks and Camp, of Puckets, were guo*ta of Mrs. m. Gar rison last Saturday night. Rev. John Cline and daughter, an accomplished young lady of Oakland, were guest* of Will Caldwell last Saturday night. There was but one thing that kept the picnic from being enjoyable, the rain after dinner and the house was too small to hold the people. During the rain buggieB had to be resorted to. Onr Lutheran brethren need a more commodious building for their growing audiences. Dr. J. W. Taylor and wife and Profs. Cousins and Brown spent Sat nrday uigbt with Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Franck Dr- R. H. Taylor and family, from Griffin, were in attendance at the j ' picnic and were the guests of Dr. J. P. Taylor Saturday night. Dr. Bob returned home Sunday evening.' Mies Nannie Harrison, of Spalding, after a pleasant visit of several weeks to Miss Clara Williamson, returned home laet Sunday accompanied by Mias Clara. J. B, Cole and family hava return •d home from their extended trip to Southwest Georgia. Mrs. J. W. Brakefield is visiting her daughter, Mrs. W. F. Stewart, at Sasser farm this week.
