Kell’s fami l 7- Miss Lilly Stallings spent last Sun day with relatives at McDonovgh. Mrs. John Hunt, of Jones county, is spending sometime with her eon E. F. Hunt, of this place. Miss Alice Ogletree, of your town, spent last week in Sunny Side. The Hon. Frank FTynt, of Griffin, was in town last Friday afternoon. Miss Emma Wilson, a charming young lady of Hampton,spent several days with Miss Cora Malaier last week. Clever Josh Elder,, of Creswell, miagled with his Sunny Side friends Sunday. J. F. Emerson was on the sick list last week. Miss Lillie lloderson, who has j kaen spending some time with her sister Mrs. G. W. Wood, returned to her home in Southwest Georgia last Friday. We would be pleased to find oat whose “pets” the correspondents to the Sun are, as they write splendid pieces. But who would be guilty of calling them “pets;” we’d like to Enow? C. L. Patterson says that he killed 22 b—frogs and a water moccasin last Saturday that measured 2$ inches in diameter. This does very well tor frogs and snakes. Y'oung Gray, of the Gordon Insti tute, Barnesville, spent Sunday with his Sunny Side friends. We think that he will come again in the near future from his appearance when he departed. Rev. A. Taylor preached an excel lent sermon at this place Sunday 10 o’clock a. m. Misses Lizzie and Emma Snead, of Creswell, were in town Sunday, Messrs. Morris and Goolsby, of Griffin, passed through the city en route to Hampton Sunday. We hope they had a real nice time with he “fair 8ex.” Miss Minnie Whitaker visited Miss Lula Darsey last Sunday, as L. C. S. was not able to attend church. We are sorry to learn that Z, M. Patterson is quite sick, and hope he will recover soon. Clever Dan Darsey spent Sunday in town. Col. Tig nor, of Jonesboro, preach ed at this place Sunday 5 o’clock p. m. His sermon was indeed well do livered. N’importk who it is.
