Help the Yellow Fever Snfferersj
It is strange but true that the ciU
izens of this place have not as yet
donated anything to the fever suf¬
ferers of Jacksonville, Florida. Why
is it that a movement is not set on
foot to raise a relief fund for them?
Will Ihe good people allow us to
make a suggestion? If to, we again
call your attention to the organiza
tion of a Dramatic Club or some¬
thing similar. By this means a snug
little sum could be raised and who
knows but what it might be tbe
means of saving many lives? Let
our younger people set this move¬
ment on foot »and we feel sure the
older ones will use every effort in
their power to assist you in this lau¬
dable undertaking. Don’t wait on
some one else, but go to work with a
will by yourself and the public will
notice your devotion to this noble
cause and volunteers will pour in
from every direction. It will not
do to delay as tbe crisis is now upon
those poor plague stricken creatures
and they are badly in need of help.
The people of Griffin are noted for
their generosity and it will not do to
let the world see that we are lag¬
gards. Who will be the first to be¬
gin? We await developments.
