Warren Lovett, an experienced drum mer, pronounces the goods the finest he ever saw, and a writer in tbo Constitu tion advises every merchant in the State to patronize this institution by prefer ice. It was at one of our large dry goods stores. “Those stockings are all wool, I presume,” she said as she requested the clerk to wrap her up a half dozen pairs. “Oh, yes, miss,” he answered in thoughtlessness, “they’re all wool and a yard wido.” “Sir !” she exclaim ed indignantly and before he had fully realized what he had said she whisked out of the store. As far as possible patronize homo in dustries. This is the way to build up a prosperous community, aud to keep a goodly number of the dollars of the daddies circulating at home. If you have much to gam purchasing else where of course that is all right, for people will buy where people can do the best, but bo sure that you are do ing tbe best and not saving a dime and losing a dollar. Homo dealers patron- ize you, aud help to pay the taxes, help to create the general prosperity in which you share. More than this they are neighbors and entitled to considera tion as such. That town is most gen erally prosperous in which the people stand shoulder to shoulder, cordially clasping hand in the march of progress. Patronize home industries and enconr ago them.
