My Poor Back!
That “ poor back ” is held responsible for more than its share of the sufferings of
mankind, ff your dog bites a man who kicks k, do you blame the dog? On the same
principle the kidneys alter their protest against nervousness, impure blood, aad
resulting constipation. These force them to do extraordinary work in ridding the
system of the poisons which are the result of effete matter retained in the
blood. Then the sufferer says tire back aches; the kidneys are dis-
easod. “Not yet; iJ but they wit] be unless the nerves are strengthened,
the blood purified, and tha constipation removed. These are the causes
of kidney troubles, and Paine’s Celery Compound removes them quickly,
With its tonic, purifying, and laxative effect, it also strengthens the weak
kidneys, making it almost infallible in curing all diseases of the nerves and kid-
neys. If your hopes of cure have not been realized, try Paine’s Celery Com-
pound; it gives perfect health to all who complain of “their poor backs.” Prica $1.00.

about two thousand bushels

thirty white, and 85 colored men

creates a good appetite, and gives strength

A recent subject of debate at a
young ladies seminary in Newham,

the school, after a heated argument,
decided unanimously in the negative.
Mrs. Gladstone, addressing the Asso

of Girls, upheld this decision. Tl#
