The preliminary trial of Davia aud Bledsoe, who are accused of shooting Polioeman Berry, which waa set for yesterday, waa continued on account of Bsivy’a being nnable to attend and testify iu the case. In an interview with Hoik Davis yesterday he strongly asserted hia innocenee and appeared anx ions for a trial aa he aaya he will be able to prove that he had no hand in the shooting. Polk has many friends who believe him innocent and we trust that he will be able to prove tb at such is the case. The table at the Hotel Curtis yeater day waa a thing of beauty and reflects considerable credit upon the landlady, Mrs, Daniel and her daughter, Miss Minnie.
