By fRr tbe greatest event of tbs season and the most delightful enter tainment that has occurred in Griffin for some time was given at H. R. Rerashart’a residence on Friday night At about 8 o’clock p, m. tbs couples began to arrive and tbe large and beautiful doable parlors were filled to overflowing. A special room was set apart for the benefit of those who desired to take part in tbe can dy polling which was to occur later on. Different games were indulged in and tbe yonug people aaemed to •njoy themselves Standing to their heart’* watching con tent. n«ar. and them as they were so bnsily.engaged in tbi* pleasant pastime, there sad denly flashed o'*r the mind of the re porter the reason why in tbe far dia tant days of the past those hoary beaded old explorers searched so dil igcntly for the fountain that would restore their youth to them. After tbe games bad been finished, by re quest, Charles Morris witb his viol in, and Miss Cleone Hudson accompany in? him witb tbe piano, entertained tbe crowd for some time. Mis* Em txa Stiiweli then furnished them with a rare treat in the shape of a few of those well selected songs of hers delivered in snch masterly style Then came the candy pulling. It is useless to say that this was a success when it is known that it was arrang ed by Mrs’ Remshart and the charm ing Misses Moss. Everything passed off very pleasantly and it was pro nounced by those present, about twenty five couples, that no enter tainment coaid have been gotten np in batter style nor proved more de lightful. *AKIN I c !
