The Cantata of Esther.
This old and well known cantata
was performed at Pattereen’e Hall
on Thursday and Friday night* last,
tbe first time to a fair audience but
one that did hot fill the hall, af*d the
second time to a much smaller ceowd-

of excellence, and the ladies looked
very lovely in despite of the cheap cos¬

ed by the wife of the manager, look¬
ed well and sung well; but the king,
who was personated by the manager
