Baptist-church last night Col. T. R.

the severance of his relations here
by accepting the call to the Macon
church, which was unanimously car¬
ried by a rising vote. Mr. O’Kelley
said that he had teceived no official

Debt of Ninety Cents.
An unfortunate affair happened at
the colored Methodist church, at
Haralson, Coweta county, last Satur¬
day uight, December 2nd. The col¬
ored people had given a festival for
the purpose of raising money to fin¬
ish paying for their bouse aud to buy
a stove. Two young colored men
got into a dispute about an old debt

A Fatal Cutting AITalr.
Information reached this city yes¬
terday of a very serious cutting
affair, whicn took place at Greenville
on Monday last, in which Joe Wood¬
ruff was seriously and perhaps fatal¬
ly cut by Frank Freeman. The
circumstances of the affray seem to
be about ns follows:
Woodruff owed Freeman-an ac¬
count, which he weut to collect end
which they became involved in a din

Freeman called Woodruff a d—d
lie, when the latter either struck or
struck at the former with n heavy
stick, when Freeman got in his work
with a pocket knife. Both men are
highly respected and well-to-do
