A Happy Marriage,

nie Driver were happily married
last evening at 8:30 o’clock at the
home of the bride in North Griffin.
The ceremony was performed in an
impressive manner by Rev. W. T
Irvine, and was very quiet, being
witnessed only by the relatives and
most intimate friends of the two
families.

A SERIOUS ACCIDENT.

Aboat six o’clock yesterday morn¬
ing V. H. Sanders, day watchman
at tbe Griffin mills, met with a
serious if not fatal accident.
Whi’e attending to some duties
in the basement of the mill, he was
struck by a palley, which knocked
him down, his head striking the
sharp corner of a box and ontting
a broad gash from the oenter of the
forehead to the back of the head,
near the left ear. A closer exami¬
nation of the wound revealed the
fact that the skull had been cracked
by the blow one or two inches. The
patient which lapse! condition into unconsciousness, he
in remained all
day yesterday with the‘exception
of short interval .
Mr. Sanders is an aged gen leman,
being in his 68th year, and is well-
known to most of our citizens. He
is the father of C C. Sanders, the
olever barber, and has many friends,
who are pained to hear of his mis¬
fortune.
