ANNUAL LICENSE ORDINANCE FOR YEAR 1924
An ordinance to provide for tUse
registration of all persons, firms,
or corporations doing (business In
the City of “Griffin; to provide an
annual license for the year 1924; to
prescribe penalties for the violation
of any of the (provisions of tMs
ordinance, and for other purposes.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COM¬
MISSIONERS GRIFFIN, A!ND OF IT THE IS CITY HEREBY OF
ENIACTED BY AUTHORITY OF
THE SAME:
Sec. 1. REGISTRATION RE¬
QUIRED. That on the first day of
January, 1924, or before commenc¬
ing to conduct any new business, all
persons, firms and corporations do¬
ing business, or proposing to do bu¬
siness in with the City of Griffin, shall
register the City Manaiger, and
shall, under oath, give the follow¬
ing information:
1. Nannie of person, firm or cor¬

Sec. 2. PENALTY FOR FAILING
TO REGISTER. Any person, ‘firm
or corporation whose duty it shall
be to register who as provided in Sec¬
tion 1, and shall fail to so
register, shall ibe guilty of an of¬
fense against the City of /Gri’ ffin,
and shall 'be punished as for/air of

Sec. 3. LICENSE REQUIRED.
All (persons, firms, or corporations
carrying on, or - proposing to carry
on any of the businesses, trades
or occupations hereinafter specified
shall on or before the first day of
January, 1924, or before commenc¬
ing to conduct any new business,
trade or occupation, procure from
the City Manager a license, for
which such person, firmj or corpora¬
tion shall pay the license fee here¬
inafter provided to wit:

Sec. 4. BEGINNERS’ LICENSE. In
addition to the regular annual license,
a fee of $25.00 shall be paid by every
