Searcy are sympathizing with her in
the death of her grandfather, Nathan
,B. Scott, which occurred at his home
in Washington city on Wednesday
afternoon. Mr. Scott, who was eigh
ty-three years old, was a former
United States senator from West Vir¬
ginia and was very prominent in the
social, political and business life of
"ftis home State and Washington,
where he had resided for several
years. He is survived by his wife,
one daughter-in-la^ Mrs. Guy T.
Scott and five grandchildren.
