were in charge of Lifsey Springs for
the summer, have returned to their
home in Midway.
Circle number two of the Woman’s
Missionary Society of the First Bap¬
tist church will meet at the Cottage
Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock and
go to the jail for services. Each
member is requested to bring some
good literature.
Mr. and Mrs. J. V, Sheppard have
returned to Atlanta, after spending
the summer at Lifsey Springs.
Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Bumgardener
have returned to Charlotte, N. C.,
after a short visit to Mrs. S. B.
Frye and Mrs. Wiilianr Henry Saun¬
ders. Mrs. Bumgardener will be re¬
membered here as Miss Vera David¬
son, a former Griffin girl.
Franklin Sibley will leave Monday
for Atlanta, where he will enter
Emory University.

Miss Kittie Birdsey, of Macon, who
has been ill at the Griffin Hospital
following an automobile accident last
week, has recovered sufficiently to
be removed to her home.
Miss Caudle Waddell, of Atlanta,
is the guest of Mrs, T. R. Whire and
Mrs. Douglas Hand r.t the home of
Mrs, Whire at 131 North Tenth
street.
The Albany Herald says: Mr.
and Mrs. W, E. Trinkle, of Griffin,
Ga,, visited friends here on Thurs¬
