Kidne has
become so prevalent
that it is not uncommon

Control the passage, it is yet afflicted with
bed-wetting, depend upon it. the cause of
the difficulty is kidney trouble, and the first
step should be towards the treatment of
these important organs. This unpleasant
trouble is due to a diseased condition of the
kidneys and bladder and not to a habit as
most people suppose.
Women as well as men are made mis

SULTAN ORDERS HIS
TROOPSTOMOBILIZE
Will Make Military Demon
stration In Macedonia.
, REGARDED WITH APPREHENSION.
French Officials Think Complications
Between Turkey and Russia and Au
stria May Result, and Another Se
ries of Massacres May Follow.
Paris, Feb. 7. —Official advices have
been received here confining the re
port that the sultan of Turkey has or
dieted the immediate mobilization of
240,000 troops for a military demon
stration in Macedonia.
1 The step taken is regarded wth ap
i prehension by the French officials as
being likely to involve complications
I between Trukey and Russia and Au
stria. It le said ttiat the Russian
and Austrian govdrenmeats have
agreed on a firm note to t£e sultan,
which will be presented in the next few
days, Insisting on administrative and
official reforms in Macedonia. Al-
■ though France will not be a party to
the note, she will approve of it.
It is considered that the sultan's
mobilization of such an army is clear
i ly an effort to forestall the repreanta
tion of this note. The mobilization
of so many troops is regarded here
as unwise and dangerous, and especial
ly as it is said that the soldiers who
are to be brought Into Macedonia from
Asiatic are semi-barbarous,
and are hostile to Christiane and will
inaugurate another series of massa
crea. It is understood the powers
are exchanging views aa to the course
to be pursued toward the mobilization
of Turkish troops.
REFUSE TO RATIFY TERMS.
Employes of Montreal Street Railway
Reject Company's Overtures.
Montreal, Feb. 7. —The employes of
the Montreal street railway at a meet
ing today refused to ratify the terms
agreed upon by their committee, and
President Forget, of the Railway com
pany, for a settlement of the strike
which began Thursday night.
President Forget announced last
night that the company was ready to
graat the men an advance of 10 per
cent, recognize the union and rein
state men recently discharged unless
their dismissal had been for just cause.
The committee seemed satisfied, and
it was generally believed that the end
of the strike was in sight. A meet
j ing of the employes was called at 1:30
! a. m. to ratify the terms of settle
ment.
It soon became apparent that a ma
jority of the men would be satisfied
with nothing short of a complete ca
pitulation on the part es the railway
company. Speeches were made urg
ing the men to refuse the terms un
lees they included certain articles of
the men’s demands.
Conservative leader® urged the
strikers to accept the concessions,
but they were cried down and when
a vote was taken the proposed basis
of settlement was defeated. The
company hae asked the city for police
protection and the Duke rtf Connaught
Hussars and the Rifles have been un
officially informed to be in readiness
to respond at a moment’s notice.
