then went down town und attempted to

and last stages, accompanied by other
troubles iu my liver nnd heart. In spite,
however, of the skill of the physicians,

‘*1 know of Mr. Lurrabee’s case from
having thoroughly investigated it as a
medical director of a Life Insurance com
pany, and it is ono of the most remark-
able cases i have ever met. Mr. Larrahco
had all the manifestations of u compli
cation of uisc-asis, and in then 1 worst
forms. He had albumen and casts iu the
urine, nud a terribly diseased liver nnd
spleen. Indeed, he was so bad that lie
tiir»;w himself upon the lloor, aud with
his laud upon u hassock, struggled for
breath. It was on the night when ho was
ba t and when all his medical advisers
had long given him up that he began us
ing Warner’s Safe Kidney and Liver Cure.

conclusions from the statements
npovo made which come to the news-
ppper man as well as the general public,
must bo two-fold. First that a modern
miracle of healing has been performed
in our midst, nnd thu\ to.-, by tho
simplest menus and ono which is within
the reach of every'one. It should be re
membered that Bright's disease is nut
usually a sudden complaint. Its begin
nings are slight nnd iu grow th slow. The
symptoms by which it may be detected
arc different with different per* ms, no
two persons usually liuviug Hie same.
This fact was manifested iu the case of
Air. Lurrabce, and ho had no idea of the
terriable complaint which had attacked
him until it became fixed upon biiu.

Old Coins and Seeds.
Seeds found with coins of the
Kmpeior Hadrinc, in an ancient
harrow in Kngland, and a helio
trope from a Roman tomb 1,500
years old and more, vegetated and
grew vigorously. The same was
the case with wheat, rose and
clover seeds found with an Egyp
tian mummy, and Indian corn Rom
a Peruvian mummy 1,800 years
old. There would seem to be no
known limit to the duration of the
principle of life in vegetable seeds.
