Is n very common expression, l»nt we
think that nrtne«l to embellish and pre-
Mervtt tlicm to a ripe old nge is decidedly •
more appropriate. This can be done by
keeping yourself supplied with a bottle
of that splendid dentifrice. Fragrant
SOZODONT, which will beautify the;
teeth and preserve them from the ravages 1
of decay, SOZODONT contains no acids j
or gritty substances which injure the
enamel, but is composed of rare and 1
antiseptic herbs, which have a beneficial ;
effect on the a hole economy of the mouth, j

A Farmer’* Strange Nation.
Fifty years ago John Eiclioltz
went from Pennsylvania to Ohio
with a capital of two silver lmlt-
(lollnrs bequeathed to him by a
disapproving father. The boy left
home vowing that lie would become
the richest Kicl.oltz living, and to
that end he toiled like a slave and
lived like a miser. He died recent
ly at ITrbana worth about $100,-
000, and ho might have accumula
ted as much more if he had pos
sessed as much sense as industry
and frugality. During the lust
twenty years lie Imd been absorbed
in the idea that it was lolly to sell
wheat, for whatever the price might
he ut any particular time it was
sure to go higher. Accordingly
he has been perpetually “holding
fora rise,” and tho result is that
thousands of bushels are now stor
ed in nnd around Ins barn, much
of it utterly worthless through de
cay. This season he predicted n
general failure of the wheat crop
throughout the northwest, and
enormous prices in consequence.
Acting on this belief be refused lo
sow any grain for the reason that
lie should need all his teams to haul
his old stock to market nnd couldn’t
be bothered with crops in the field.
His family are said to be bearing
the ntllicLion of his death with
much fortitude and composure, in
tending when time has assuaged
their griei to live as other people
do.
