A Core for Hog Cliolera.
MllldjevUle Recorder.
No absolutely sure remedy for
liog cholera has ever been discov
ered, I believe. Btit the remedy
given below is from a hog raising
section and having seen it recom
mended before, I trust any or all
of our good burners who have an
opportunity will give it a trial. It
certainly has done good and no one
knows but that it may hit the case
of his hogs if they should be so af
flicted. II.
The Lewiston Oazeltc, publish
ed in Fulton county, Ill., contains
the following: 1 Every paper in the
United States ought occasionally
to keep tbo fact before its readers
that burnt corn is a certain and
speedy cure lor hog cholera. The
best way is to make a pile of corn
on the cob, effectually scorch it,
and then give the affected hogs free
^access to it. This remedy wns dis
covered by E. E. Docks at the time
his distillery was burned in tins
county, together with n large lot
of store corn, which was so much
injured ns to be unlit for use, and
was hauled out and greedily eaten
by the hogs, several of which were
dying daily. After the second day
not a single bog was lost, and the
discaso entirely disappeared. The
remedy 1ms been tried in a number
of cases since and never failed.”—

Many queer stories are told about
the absmd way in which uneduca

‘YVitli my body I then wash up
