Chihuahua. The politico of Cali*

succeeded in getting out and re
turned with a party of seventy men.

pelled to witness the slaughter of
Politico’s entire party. Juh’s band
numbered 200. After the butchery
was complete tbo Indians escaped.
The Mexicans who sought the re
mains of their friends found near
by the bodies of five Americans,
two of whom were recognized as
Jas. Biggs and W. McDowell, of
Grant conntv. New Mexico, who
had been in Chihuahua purchasing
cattle.
