In our line of business we are the
recognized leaders, and we propose
to continue to carry off the honors,
While we post ess all the requisites
necessary for the success of a legiti
mate and dashing business, WE
HAVE THE LARGEST AND
FINEST STORE IN THE CITY.
WE HAVE THE LARGEST AND
FINEST STOCK IN THE CITY,
and wt are known throughout this
section as the
When, about nine months ago, Ameri-
cus citizens determined that the city
needed a big hotel, and with the energy
and enterprise characteristic of the city
raised the stock without any trouble,
tlie whole city was glad. When dirt
was broken last September, and a visi
ble showing made the peoplo were still
more enthused on the subject The
plan was exhibited, and an idea given of
the magnificent building we were to
have.
Now the work is over half done,
and the building allows some of the
beauty which will characterize it.
Tlie people hero aro proud of it, and
it is the subject of most complimentary
remarks from all visitors.
Tlie climate in this section is tho most
salubrious to bo found, and the winters
are delightfully pleasant. As a health
resort our city has few equals, and as a
resort for pleasure wo are unsurpassed
Our splendid clime has often been the
subject of comment abroad, and to-day
no city or town noted as a winter resort
has a better reputation among those who
bavo any information on the subject.
Every winter visitors come hero from
the northern states and Canada, and all
aro delighted.
But Amerlcus lias not received her
share on account of lack of accommoda
tions.
This one of tho leading features of the
new hotel. It is known as a winter re
sort hotel, and a specialty will be made
of entertaining winter tourists.
The hotel will be finished and ready
for occupancy early in the fall, but, os
yet. no advertisement lias gone out of
this fact. Those who have been hero
and have knowledge of the delightful
climate do not know whotlior they can
get accommodations hero next winter or
note Those who do not know of our
city as a resort should bo informed of
the fact.
This Information should bo sent out
in time for the tourists to notice it be
fore making up their minds where they
will spend the winter, and time for it Is
gotting ripo. Tho management and the
people in goneral want to seo a great in
flux of these visitors. They will spend
money hero, and after seeing the city,
will no doubt Invest here.
But unless the Information above
mentioned is sent out, tlie first season
of our now hotol will not be as success
ful as is looked for. The peoplo who
travel have to ho notified, and notified
in timo.
Steps ibould bo taken now to make
known to the world some of the facts
•bout our winters, and about the hotel.
Let the management attend to this
matter of advortisoment, and begin be
fore it is too late. Send out circulars,
have notices In the leading summer re
sorts, and in other ways glvo tourists a
chance to learn something for their own
good.
