The Polk Count/ Mining Cumpany, who have for two or three years been engaged largely and very profitably en gaged in mining Iron oro near Cedar- town, has recently purchased a large tract of Iron ore lands In Cherokee county. The property is perhaps as fine as can bo found in the stato, or in the South. It is contiguous to the famous iron property of the Chattahoochee I.and Company. Analysis shows that this one is the same quality as that owned by the Chattahoochee company. The ore is about one mile from the railroad, and runs sixty-five per cent, metallc ore. The Polk County Mining Company Is a strong concern, and with plenty of money and brains backing it, there is no telling tire magnitude their enterprises may ultimately assume.
