Criticising a Young Lady.
“She would be a pretty girl but for one
thing.”
“What’s that?” asked Charley.
George—“Her face Is always coverod
with purple and red blotches,”
Charley—“Oh, that’s easily enough
disposed of. Used to be the samo way
myself, but I caught on to the trouble
one day, and got rid of It in no time.”
George—"Wliat was it?”
Charley—“Simply blood eruption.
Took a short conse of I*. P. I*. I tell
you, it's the boss blood corrector. The
governor had rheumatism so bad|that you
could bear him holler clear across the
county every time ho moved. He tried
it, and you know what an athletic old
gent be is now. If somebody would
give Miss Daisy a pointer, she would
thank them aftorwards. All tbe drug
stores sell It."
Some Athens young men think they
have struck it rich in securing an inter

The contrivance is for the benefit of
railroads. Wbon a train passes a sta
tion a great light Is thrown upon the
higher atmosphere, and at the next sta
tion toward which the train is heading
at the same time. The cost of keeping
the thing in repair is about $10 per an
num for each mile of road.

A negro womon from Hazlehurst
brought her baby to Abbeville Wednes

pounds. It was two years old and could
neither walk or talk. All of the back of
its head was perfectly soft. It was cry
ing, and its mother said it had been cry-
ing for eight months almost Incessant
