THE aMERICUS DAILY TIMES-RECOHDEfc SATURDAY, JUNE 6, 1891. Frerint rolarirmtlon. The polarization of the human body can be proved by allowing a strong cur rent to flow through the body from one end to the other, the hands being placed in two basins connected with the poles. The hands are then dried and placed in two other basins of water, connected with the wires of a delicate galvanome ter. A current in the reverse direction to the original one is then found to flow from the body.—Boston Transcript. Settled at Last. It has finally been settled in Scotland that after a single man and woman have kept company for fourteen years, and have not denied to outsiders that they contemplated matrimony, that the man can be sued for breach of promise, and that no further proof shall be needed by the plaintiff.—Detroit Free Press. if • hook without the Flench think. Whether it be true or not, there are many American women who do not even possess the hook—beau ty and attractiveness are denied them. Why f Because they're languid, cross and Irritable. They know not wbat it if to be without pain or discomfort half the time. That’s It; suffer in silence—misun derstood—when there’s a remedy—Dr. Pierte’s Favorite Prescription—at hand that isn’t an experiment, but which is •Old, by druggists, under the auaranta ♦h.t if you are disappointed in an; r way with it, yon get your money bac i by applying to its makers. A signal service to weak womenklnd if the finding of lost health—the build ing up of a “ run-down ” system, noth ing does it ao surely as the “Favorite Prescription.” None like it I For overworked, debilitated women, teachers, milliners, seamstresses, “shop- girls,” nursing mother*—one and all are wired by it A Thought. Live up to the level of your best thoughts; keep the line of your life tense and true; it is bnt a thread, but it be longs to the great republican warp where Time is weaving a nation. Yon cannot alter its attachment yonder to the past— nor yonder to the unrolling years.— Thomas Hughes. He Did Not Call. The man who tried Dr. Sage’s Catarrh Remedy, and was sure of the fSOO re ward offered by the proprietors for an incurable case, never called for his money. Why not ? O, because he got cured! lie was sure of two things: (1) That his catarrh could not be cured. (2) That be would have that $500 He is now sure one thing, and that is, that his catarrh is gone completely. So be is out $500, of course. The makers of Dr. Sago’s Catarrh Remedy have faith in their ability to cure the worst cases ol Nasal Catarrh, no matter of how long standing, and attest their faith by their standing reward of $500, offered for many years past, for an incurable case of this loathsome and dangerous disease.
