Don McLeod, who lias been spending several days in Americus, loft yesterday afternoon for Macon. Mrs. II. M. White left yesterday for hor homo at Union Point, after a stay of ten days with relatives in Americus. Dr. John E. Hall’s many friends will bo glad to know that lie has almost com pletely recovered from IiIh recent illness. Mr. Lester Windsor, tho popular .as sistant cashier of tho popular Pcoplo National bank leaves to-day for Cincin nati and Chicago where ho will spend his summer vacation of two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. B. Brown and Mr. S. IL Brown and wifo of Albany passed through Amoricus yesterday on their way to LaO range to attend the mencoment exorcises of the Southern Female College. Misses Frances Boll, Nannie Dod son and Charlio Hitt, who have been representing Americus at tho Southern Female College, LaGrango, will return to their homes in this city to-morrow, to tho delight of their many admirers. Miss Monroe Cargylo, ono of tho very loveliest of Brunswick’s many fair daughters, will arrive in Americus to morrow to spend sovcral days with Miss Charlio Ilitt, with whom sho has been attending tho Southern Female Collcgo, at J.aGrango. Mr. J. W. L. Daniel, the popular po lice commissioner, has returned home to Americus, after a pleasant stay of sev eral weeks with relatives at Gainesville, Ga. He reports a most pleasant time and camo homo very much improved by Ids stay among tho mountains. Mr. Tliad Parks, who left AmoHcus fourteen years ago for Texas, but who now lives at Fort Myers, Fla., roturod here yesterday on a visit to friends and relatives. Mr. Parks was simply aston ished by tho many changes which have taken place in Americus since ho left. Mrs. Willis B. Tappan of Atlanta, passed through Americus yesterday on her way to Stewart county, where sho will for several weeks be the guest of friends aad relatives. Mrs. Tappan is well known here and on her return home she will stop with Americus friends for several days. Miss Carrie Crane, of Atlanta, whose early marriago to Dr. William Perrin Nicolson is announced, is well known in Americus. Her admirers here will wish her that halo of perfect happiness which is supposed to attend tho marriago of one of so many rare charms of mind and person as has Miss Crane. Stock Holders Meeting.
